The fairgrounds were bustling with activity on Wednesday as participants and judges prepared for the Douglas County Fair. Rachel Propst of Ashby cleaned her pig up before settling it in a barn. Floral arrangements were judged by Marcy Gaugert with the help of Jeanne Stamness as well as Linda Huebner and Gwen Foslien, all of the Alexandria Garden Club.
