Beetles baseball: Beck named to All-Star team

Alexandria Beetles pitcher Sander Beck of the University of Maryland was named to the 2010 Northwoods League postseason All-Star team.

St. Cloud shortstop Steve Nyisztor was named the most valuable player while teammate Jason Wheeler was the pitcher of the year.

The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate Baseball League in North America. The 2010 NWL Playoffs begin on Tuesday.
