Alexandria’s Maggie Leland was tied for second in the Minnesota Women’s State Amateur Championship at Woodhill Country Club this week, posting rounds of 79, 75 and 75 for a 229, six strokes behind the champion, Olivia Lansing of the White Bear Yacht Club.
Glenwood’s Chelsey Falk finished 17th at 238 in the championship flight, with Allie Ostrander of Glenwood finishing at 245, Amanda Woodhull of Alexandria at 256, Molly Leland of Alexandria 262 and Maxine Carlson of Alexandria 269.
In first flight action, Glenwood’s Sam Falk shot 94-82-82-258 to grab a fourth place spot, three strokes back of the leader.
In the second flight, Brianna Janu of Glenwood shot a 265 tied for fourth and 11 strokes back of the leader.
