Janet Larson, Gary Boots, Ralph Losee, Rick Branson and Mike Wegener were all winners as the Alexandria Horseshoe League held its annual singles tournament August 4 and 11.
Larson won the Class A division in a close contest over Phil Swenson, with both players having records of 4-1.
Larson finished with 520 points and 111 ringers out of the 250 shoes pitched for a 44.4 percent average, while Larson had 514 points and 114 ringers for 45.6 percent.
Boots finished with a 5-0 record in Class B, notching 573 points and 117 ringers.
In Class C, Losee had a 10.72 ringer percentage and pitched 21 percent with 422 points. He finished 4-0-1.
In Class D, Branson won a tiebreaker over Steve Anstett, with Branson collecting 416 points and 20.5 percent pitching, while Anstett had 386 points and 12.5 percent pitching.
Wegener was the Class E winner with a 5-0 record, pitching five percent and scoring 373 points for the 200 shoes pitched.

CLASS C – 1. Ralph Losee 4-0-1, 422 points, 21.0%; 2. Harley Anderson 3.5-1.5, 371 points, 12.5%; 3. Dave Beyer 3-2, 376 points, 15.5%; 4. Todd Betterman 2-3, 387, 27.0%; 5. Ron Peterson 2-3, 381 points, 17.0%.
CLASS D – 1. Rick Brandon 416 points, 20.5%; 2. Steve Anstett 386 points, 12. 5%; 3. Al Bettermann 3-2, 362 points, 9.0%; 4. Chuck Betterman 2-3, 370 points, 9.5%; 5. Candace Schad 2-3, 361 points, 14.5%.
CLASS E – 1. Mike Wegener 5-0, 373 points, 5.0%; 2. Robbie Betterman 3.5-1.5, 368, 13.5%; 3. Joe Nicholson 3.5-1.5, 362 points, 7.5%; 4. Bruce Swenson 2-3, 5. Tyler Bettermann 1-4.
