Weekly prayer school starting at Covenant

Prayer Watch International is sponsoring a weekly prayer school called, “Heart to Heart with God.”

The prayer school is open to the public and will be held on Thursday evenings, September 9 through November 18 at Alexandria Covenant Church, 4005 Dakota Street in Alexandria.

The school will meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on September 9, and from 7 to 9 p.m. the remaining dates.

Heart to Heart with God was developed and sponsored by Prayer Watch International, a group that focuses on hearing, recognizing and obediently following God’s voice.

This weekly prayer school is designed to develop a deeper and more personal relationship with Jesus. Whether a person is a beginner or well seasoned in prayer, this school has something to offer everyone.

“Prayer is a relationship between God and His people,” said Pastor Bjorn Petersen, founder and director of Prayer Watch International. “The relationship is greatly enhanced by meaningful communication. Prayer is meant to be a dialogue. Meaningful prayer needs to include time of listening to what God wants to share. In order to effectively listen, believers need to recognize the voice of God and how He speaks.”

Heart to Heart with God also trains believers in how to journal what is received during listening prayer times.
