Area artists asked to join 'Small Art 6x6x6 Exhibit'

The Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) invites artists living in Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wilkin counties to submit artwork for a “Small Art 6x6x6 Exhibit.”

The Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) invites artists living in Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wilkin counties to submit artwork for a “Small Art 6x6x6 Exhibit.”

The exhibit will be on display from October 11, 2010 to January 7, 2011 in the LRAC/McKnight Gallery at the historic River Inn, 133 South Mill Street in Fergus Falls.

All artists and crafts people are encouraged to submit work samples. The LRAC is especially interested in new and emerging artists.

Artwork must be no larger than six inches tall by six inches wide and six inches deep. Measurements include frames. If your art fits within a six by six inch cube, it would be acceptable for submission.

Artists will be invited to attend a reception for the exhibit, October 19 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the LRAC/McKnight Gallery.

The LRAC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encourage and support the vitality of the arts. The LRAC accomplishes this through providing grants to community organizations and individual artists in the region; and providing a monthly ArtsNews letter, workshops, and technical assistance. LRAC serves the counties of Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin in west central Minnesota.
