George Wahlin, 64

George Menton Wahlin, 64, died July 29, 2010 at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.

George was born September 28, 1945 to Glen and Elaine (Marcy) Wahlin.

He graduated from high school and went into the Air Force. Later he graduated from Yale with a certificate of linguistics.

He is survived by his only daughter, Meghan (Wahlin) Carpenter; granddaughter, Kylie Carpenter; mother, Elaine; brother, Joe; best friend, Brad Miller; and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his son, Hans; father, Glen; and his dog, Maynard.

A small memorial service for George will be held at the family property in Melby on Saturday, August 21. Please meet at the Fly Way, 23972 County Road 24 Northwest, Evansville, no later than 2:30 p.m. for services to follow.
