Former Twin and current Fox Sports North analyst Ron Coomer will be in Alexandria tonight as the Alexandria Beetles get set to host Twins Night at Knute Nelson Memorial Ballpark.
Coomer spent six years with the Twins, from 1995-2000, before signing with the Chicago Cubs as a free agent on January 10, 2001. Coomer was a 1999 all star and hit .278 during his career in Minnesota. He finished as a .274 hitter during his nine year career.
Fans will get a chance to meet Coomer and get an autograph before he throws out the first pitch before the Beetles’ game against the Rochester Honkers. Game time is set for 6:05 p.m.
