VFW 15s win state baseball tourney opener

Nick Knobhlach pitched a complete game, earning player of the game honors, as the Alexandria VFW 15s baseball team won its opening contest 9-4 over the New Ulm Junior Legion (16-year-olds) in the State VFW tournament in Austin today.

Knoblach went 2-for-3 at the plate as well.

Alexandria will now move on to play Worthington today at 4:30 p.m.
