Paid Political Letter - A good candidate for commissioner

With the primary fast approaching, I thought this letter might be the best opportunity to reach out to as many of you as possible.

District 4 constituents:

With the primary fast approaching, I thought this letter might be the best opportunity to reach out to as many of you as possible. As many of you know, I have lived and worked most of my life in Douglas County – as a social worker, grounds keeper, sales clerk and past county commissioner. Friends say this displays many talents to be considered a good candidate for commissioner of District 4.

My agenda is rather simple: Bring open and accessible government to Douglas County. The county must provide strong management in the areas of land and resources, short and long-range planning and watershed districts.

As the past four years have shown, we must work closely with the state of Minnesota and establish cooperation and merged services with townships and other counties. We cannot change or waste energies on past decisions, but rather must evaluate and plan methods of reducing future budget costs without cutting necessary services.

To avoid the appearance of governing in a vacuum, my plan, if elected, is to have office hours whereby I will be available to any citizen of Douglas County to visit with and discuss their concerns. I need your vote to accomplish this.
