Music in the Park is back by popular demand and will be held in a four-week series on Thursday evenings.
The first event was held July 29; remaining events will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on August 5, 12 and 19.
August 5 will feature a variety of music stations with early childhood educators Tessa Jensen and JaNae Staples from the Alexandria Early Education Center.
August 12 will feature the Drums Alive Program with Knute Nelson.
Melissa Radermacher will get the group “movin' and groovin' ” on August 19.
Music in the Park is sponsored by Building Connections, the Douglas County Early Childhood Initiative.
This partnership between early childhood professionals, parents, government agencies, businesses, and community partners support strong families and healthy development for young children, ages birth to 5.
The team is dedicated to increasing awareness of local resources, educating families about the importance of early childhood experiences, and providing enriching experiences and events for families.
