Dalton Leuschke's walk-off home run gave Alexandria a 6-3 win over Lakeville North in the opening round of the Division I state baseball tournament. Parker Giroux added three hits and Colin Erickson allowed just six hits over nine innings to pick up the win.
In game two, Alexandria fell 10-6 to Excelsior as Shawn Krueger was tagged with the loss. Erickson had three hits for Alexandria.
Play in the double elimination tournament continues today at sites in Hibbing, Grand Rapids, Nashwauk and Cohasset.
