A stand-up comedy show will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 to benefit Wadena with tornado relief funds.
Thumper Pond will host three comedians – one with ties to Alexandria – at the Ottertail resort to raise money. They are:
Rox Tarrant. Tarrant is a show producer and Alexandria native and winner of Duluth Comedy Festival May 2009.
Maxine Jeffris. One of Minnesota’s premiere comedians, Maxine Jeffris has fine tuned her jokes in to one clean, intelligently written and sublimely funny act. A three time “Tonight Show” veteran, Maxine shares her stories of various husbands, children and life on the fast track.
Tommy Ryman. Ryman is a rising young star on the comedy scene and a 2010 finalist in Comedy Central’s Great American Comedy Festival, which takes place in Johnny Carson’s hometown of Norfolk, Neb.
Tickets are on sale now at Thumper Pond.
