Friends of Library book sale starts soon
Douglas County Library’s Friends and Foundation’s annual Used Book Sale is Thursday, August 5 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the National Guard Armory on Broadway in downtown Alexandria.

The Bag Sale (all the books you can get in a shopping bag for $3) is also on Thursday, August 5 beginning at 5 p.m.
As a way of saying thank you for Friends members’ support of the library, a pre-sale for members only is being held on Wednesday, August 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Do you know anyone who has expressed an interest in being a part of Friends of the Library? Please let them know that now is the perfect time to join. They can become a Friend of the Library at the pre-sale and shop that evening.
People interested in volunteering to help with the sale should call Priscilla at (320) 762-1265.
Book donations are accepted at the library year round, but to have the books ready for this year’s sale, please bring them to the library by Saturday, July 31.
Partial matching funds are being provided by Douglas County Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The mission of the Douglas County Library Friends and Foundation is to support and promote the Douglas County Library.
