Boats, Blues & BBQ

The Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum is proud to announce its annual “Boats, Blues and BBQ” festival.

The summer celebration and fundraiser will take place Friday, August 6 from 6 to 11 p.m. on the museum campus – 205 3rd Avenue West in Alexandria.

The public is invited for an enjoyable evening of fun and blues music, along with a silent auction and raffles.

Music for this year’s festival will be provided by Cool Disposition, a popular Twin Cities-based blues band.

Cool Disposition has earned the reputation as one of the best blues bands in the Midwest.

Combining tasteful, jaw-dropping guitar work and roaring harmonica, this five-piece group manages a wide variety of original blues without sounding like a blues variety band.

A full barbecue dinner and dessert, coffee and lemonade are included with the purchase of a ticket. A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance or $30 at the gate.

Tickets are on sale at the Maritime Museum, Pete’s County Market and Elden’s Food Fair.
