Osakis all sports meeting August 9

An all sports and fine arts meeting for parents and student athletes in grades 7-12 in Osakis has been scheduled for August 9 in the Osakis Public School auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

All students who plan to participate in a sport or fine art activity must attend the meeting with a parent or legal guardian. All forms and fees must be turned in before a student athlete can begin practice.

Parents must bring a completed athletic physical form, a Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) eligibility form and an Osakis Public Schools eligibility form to registration, which will follow the informational meeting.

An athletic physical is good for three years. Typically, all students entering grades 7 and 10 need a physical. Students new to the district need to have record of their physical transferred to Osakis Public Schools or have another physical.

All three forms can be picked up in the district office or downloaded from the Osakis Public Schools website at www.osakispublicschools.org. The forms are found in the “forms” section of the athletics drop down menu.

Participation fees vary by age and sport. Volleyball and tennis fees are $50 for students in grades 9-12 and $25 for grades 7-8. Football fees are $65 for grades 9-12 and $25 for grades 7-8. Fine arts and cheerleading fees are $20 for students in grades 7-12.
