All military retirees are welcome to register for the 9th annual Armed Forces Retiree Activity Day, or AFRAD, at Camp Ripley, Minn., on Saturday, August 28.
The AFRAD is an opportunity for all military retirees, spouses, widows and/or
guests to receive updated verbal and written information about Federal
government and Veteran's Affairs entitlement programs.
The Camp Ripley staff will be available to update your ID cards and you can
ask questions of the specialists who work with the entitlement programs daily.
The AFRAD will be held at the Training and Community Center on Camp Ripley.
This AFRAD is being sponsored by the members of The Retired Enlisted Association
(TREA) Central Minnesota Chapter 115. The chapter website is: www.trea115.org
The registration fee is $7.50 per person to pay for break refreshments and event
supplies. There is a $7.50 fee for lunch. The deadline to register for lunch is August
16. Walk-ins are welcome the day of the event, with one session starting at 8
a.m. and the other session starting at noon, but registration for lunch is by August 16.
