Take me out to the ballgame: The annual Law Enforcement/Fire Department charity softball game fundraiser is set for Monday, August 2 at 5 p.m. at Knute Nelson ballpark.
The gates open at 4 p.m. with food/drink specials, the fire department “bounce house,” fire trucks/squad cars on display, Ringo, the radar pitch machine, and an opportunity to sign up for raffle prizes.
Tickets are only $2 each, unless you wear any local youth sporting gear or DARE T-shirt, then admission is free. Get your tickets early at the Fire Hall or Law Enforcement Center.
By the way, buy a charity softball ticket and stay for the Beetles game vs. the Duluth Huskies for free. So, come on out to the ballpark to cheer for your favorite cop or firefighter, and support the Alexandria Area Special Olympics and the Windmill Project.
