Letter - Love, laughter and song

To the editor:

I’d like to thank the Echo Press, members of the Red Willow Arts Coalition, and the entire lakes area community for the support they gave our courthouse lawn community concert last Thursday evening. All the organizing and hard work is done by volunteers, and it is our local media that gets the word out. About 500 to 600 people turned out for the event.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to perform before such a responsive and appreciative audience. These concerts do a lot to pull folks together in a celebration of love, laughter and song. This experience is especially satisfying for the musicians who participate, and on behalf of Bruce Kelly, Annie O’Flynn, Sami Steidl, Chuck and Michelle Wencl, and myself, thanks so much to everyone who made this memorable night possible.
