Fishing day hopes to reel in lots of kids
The Douglas County Lakes Association is co-sponsoring a “Kids’ Fishing Day” at Fleet Farm in Alexandria on Saturday, July 10.
The Douglas County Lakes Association is co-sponsoring a “Kids’ Fishing Day” at Fleet Farm in Alexandria on Saturday, July 10.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The purpose is to educate youth and adult visitors about the threats posed by aquatic invasive species and how to prevent their spread.
There will be live fish to see and touch, casting contest and temporary tattoos.
