Kellie Janssen was recently named the campaign chair for the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties’ 2010-11 campaign.
Janssen is employed with Glenwood State Bank as the director of marketing.
“A strong supporter of our communities, Kellie exemplifies the ‘Live United’ theme,” noted Linda Roles, executive director. “She has volunteered throughout both communities for years. Giving back through volunteering is an important part of Kellie’s personal and family values.”
Janssen has served on many community boards and committees during her time in Alexandria and Glenwood.
Roles said that Janssen has a contagious energy that she’ll bring to the campaign as well as a strong passion for the United Way and for the essential support it provides to its communities.
“I am excited for the upcoming campaign year and look forward to sharing with you the impact United Way has in our communities,” Janssen said. “United Way continues to help so many people in Douglas and Pope County, and I want all of us to become part of the effort to make life better for those that need us in our communities.”
Janssen said her objective as campaign chair is to ensure that communities come together with one common purpose – to make a positive difference in the lives of others and to raise the awareness of United Way in Pope County.
“I want to teach people about the impact each donation to United Way makes, no matter how much one can give,” she said.
