Two motorcycle accidents in the Alexandria area last week left three people injured.
Two people were taken to Douglas County Hospital following a motorcycle crash on Highway 29 near County Road 85 and the Nordic Trails Golf Course north of Alexandria shortly after 9 p.m. last Thursday, June 24.
Donald Harvey Froemming, 31, the driver, and Jesse Kay Froemming, 25, his passenger, both from Carlos, were taken by North Ambulance to the hospital. They were on a 2004 Yamaha Roadster.
According to the State Patrol, the motorcycle passed at least three vehicles before hitting the right shoulder of the road and losing control. The driver and passenger were ejected.
They were both admitted to the hospital but have since been released, according to Douglas County Hospital.
A second motorcycle crash took place early Saturday morning shortly after 1:30 a.m. at the Garfield exit on Interstate 94.
The driver, Charles Lee Betterman, 43, of Garfield, swerved to miss a deer and rolled into the ditch, according to the State Patrol. He was driving a Harley Davidson Roadster.
Betterman was taken to Douglas County Hospital and then transferred to St. Cloud Hospital, where as of Tuesday morning, he was listed in serious condition.
