Traffic will resume on Highway 9 between the Pope/Stevens county line and Benson on Friday morning, June 25, when a resurfacing project is completed.
Motorists may still encounter shoulder closures and lane closures along Highway 9 after the road is open as crews finish clean-up work and install edge line striping. The project includes milling and paving, replacing culverts and replacing an approach panel at the Chippewa River bridge in Benson. A bypass lane was also added to Highway 12 at Pope County Road 3 west of Benson.
Duininck Bros. Inc. is the contractor for the $3.3 million project, which began May 11.
