U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s “Minnesota Morning” recently featured pastries and muffins from Roers Family Bakery in Alexandria.
Klobuchar has visited dozens of Minnesota communities in recent months. After tasting favorite local foods, she decided to showcase these Minnesota specialties at the weekly Thursday morning coffee gatherings in her Washington, D.C., office.
“Roers Family Bakery is a great example of a homemade Minnesota business – the kind that keeps our communities strong and vibrant,” said Klobuchar. “The cream horns, oatmeal muffins and danishes were a big hit at our Minnesota Morning.”
Roers Family Bakery is a family-owned bakery that’s been in business for 15 years.
Klobuchar hosts “Minnesota Morning” every Thursday when the Senate is in session and invites all Minnesotans who are visiting the capital.
Visitors can hear first-hand accounts of Klobuchar’s work in the Senate, mingle with fellow Minnesotans visiting Washington, meet the senator’s staff, and take photographs with the senator.
