The name of the woman killed in a crash near Parkers Prairie was released.
Diane Bergquist, 66, of Parkers Prairie died as a result of a crash that occurred Monday evening.
According to a report from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:13 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a crash at the intersection of County Highway 138 and Tomten Road, northeast of Parkers Prairie.
The report stated that the crash happened when a Chevrolet Traverse driven by Bergquist, which was traveling westbound on County Highway 138, collided with a Rogator crop sprayer, which was crossing over County Highway 138 onto Tomten Road.
The sprayer was driven by Anthony Witt, 44, of Henning.
Both the Traverse and the sprayer reportedly came to rest in the south ditch of County Highway 138 on the west side of Tomten Road.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Bergquist died on impact.
Witt was reportedly not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
The Parkers Prairie Fire Department, Parkers Prairie Ambulance and the Parkers Prairie Police Department also responded to the scene.
On Friday, June 25, a Christian Mother's Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. William’s Catholic Church in Parkers Prairie.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie. Arrangements are with Lind Family Funeral and Cremation Service with chapels in Miltona and Parkers Prairie.
