Softball: Pheasant All-Conference

The Brandon-Evansville softball team placed five players on the All-Pheasant Conference team that was recently announced.

Carli Randt, Katie Boesl, Megan Boesl, Michelle Bruns and Chelsey Pizel all earned the honor after putting together solid seasons. Kati Reisenauer was an honorable-mention selection.

The Ashby Arrows were not far behind with four players named to the team. Amanda Johnson and Haley Ness shared the conference MVP Award. Johnson was a force at the plate, while anchoring the Arrows’ defense at short. Ness kept teams off balance all season from the pitching rubber.

Kelly Falk and Hayley Barry joined them as all-conference selections after leading the Arrows to a 14-4 overall record. Andrea Moe and Kami Bogenreif both earned honorable-mention honors.

Ashby and Brandon-Evansville tied for the conference championship this season. Both teams finished with 10-2 records in league play. The Arrows beat the Chargers in both of their head-to-head match-ups but losses to Ortonville and Chokio-Alberta-Herman-Norcross gave the Arrows two losses in conference play.
