Pavement marking on 3rd Ave. to begin next week

Motorists may encounter temporary lane closures on Third Avenue between Broadway Street and McKay Avenue in Alexandria during a pavement marking replacement project starting next Monday, June 28.
Lane closures are required while crews replace existing pavement markings in driving lanes, turn lanes, intersections and crosswalks.
Lane restrictions at the Broadway Street, Nokomis Street and McKay Avenue intersections will be limited to non-peak traffic times.
The safety improvement project is scheduled to be completed before the July 4 holiday weekend, weather permitting.
