Marshall man airlifted after cycle crash near Wood Lake

A 26-year-old Marshall man was airlifted to a Sioux Falls, S.D., hospital after a motorcycle crash about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday south of Wood Lake.

WOOD LAKE, Minn. — A 26-year-old Marshall man was airlifted to a Sioux Falls, S.D., hospital after a motorcycle crash about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday south of here.

According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s office, Daniel Person was westbound on a county road, lost control of the cycle on a curve and was ejected from his motorcycle. He flew about 270 feet before landing in a field. He was not wearing a helmet. Authorities said he had a fractured wrist and fractured leg and possible other injuries.

Person was airlifted from the scene.
