Flexible ABE/GED classes are held on Tuesdays from 1 to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Individual literacy tutors are also available.
These free classes offer assistance in preparation for the tests of General Educational Development (GED tests), ACCUPLACER tests, as well as with basic reading, writing, spelling, math and everyday living/coping skills, such as completing forms, balancing a checkbook, passing the written driver’s license test, etc. Anyone who is thinking about getting a GED diploma should contact the program for assistance.

Citizenship classes are also offered.
Free online GED or ACCUPLACER test preparation classes are available and can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer that meets minimum hardware requirements. Also offered online are English as another language and basic brush-up classes in reading, writing and math.
Anyone aged 16 or older who has basic educational needs and is not presently enrolled in a high school is welcome to attend. The program is informal and allows students to set their own goals and work at their own pace toward these goals in a friendly atmosphere.
Students can begin at any time during the year and finish when their goals have been completed. Similar classes will also be offered in other surrounding communities.
This schedule is effective June 14 through September 2. For more information, call Adult Basic Education at (320) 762-3312 (new phone number).
