Computer, writing prep class offered

Through District 206 Community Education, the Alexandria Area Adult Basic Education Consortium is partnering with Alexandria Technical College (ATC) to offer a free basic computer and writing skills prep class.

Through District 206 Community Education, the Alexandria Area Adult Basic Education Consortium is partnering with Alexandria Technical College (ATC) to offer a free basic computer and writing skills prep class. Class will run Mondays through Thursdays, July 19 to August 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at ATC.

The class will focus on basic computer skills and will prepare students for success in ATC’s intro to computers class. In addition, basic college writing skills will be covered, preparing students for future college coursework.

Since the course is offered at no cost to the first 20 qualified applicants, early registration is recommended. Registration deadline is July 1.
