Cardinal golf: Alexandria players tee off Tuesday

State Class AAA tournament is held at Bunker Hills Golf Club.

Alexandria senior Maggie Leland will be part of a powerhouse foursome when she tees off at 8:51 a.m. on Tuesday in the State Class AAA girls’ golf meet at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.

Leland, the overall No. 1 ranked high school girls’ player in Minnesota, is slated to play with fifth-ranked Mikki Kromy of Grand Rapids, sixth-ranked Amber Houser of New Prague and seventh-ranked Sarah Burnham of Wayzata.

Maxine Carlson will tee off at 7:57 a.m. and will play with Chelsey Larson of Woodbury, Emily Culshaw of New Prague and Monika Buska of Edina.

At 7:48 a.m., Brynn Novotny tees off with Jordy Drenttel of Eagan, Ashley Houser of New Prague and Lindsey Brown of Irondale, and Cardinal Caroline Roers will tee off at the same time with Jessica Braun of Eagan, Steph Mackey of Grand Rapids and Lauren Wise of New Prague.

Amanda Bigger’s tee time is at 7:39 a.m. and she will play with Katie Roster of Northfield, Kelly Ulrich of Eastview and Lindsey Kueng of Irondale.

Alexandria’s Lauren Johnson will play with Sam Peterson of Eastview, Maddie Arbisi of Stillwater and Cassidy Hanzlik of Northfield when that foursome tees off at 7:30 a.m.

Cardinal Casey Vangsness will have his state debut at 12:18 p.m. when he tees off with Carter Holmquist of Lakeville South, Dan Kilgore of Mahtomedi and Derick Kuchera of Eagan.

At 12:45 p.m., Brian Robley will take off with Jacque Wilson of Minnetonka, Freddy Thomas of Lakeville North and Jordan Rykal of Rogers.
