Two men were injured Saturday when their boat was rear-ended by another boat on Big Pine Lake near Perham, Minn.
A boat driven by Donald Piehl, 69, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., was going about 20 mph when it hit the back end of a trolling boat driven by Dennis Voigt, 61, of Perham, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
Voigt’s passenger, Christopher Voigt, 29, of Mason City, Iowa, and Piehl’s passenger, a juvenile male who wasn’t identified, were thrown from their boats into the water as a result of the collision.
Both Voigts sustained possible bone fractures, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
The incident, which happened at 9:51 a.m., is under investigation.
