Motorcyclist seriously injured after hitting lawn tractor in road near Hoffman

A 31-year-old Glenwood man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash involving a lawn tractor Monday night.

Reid Haberer, 22, of Cyrus was pulling a trailer on Highway 27 about seven miles east of Hoffman at about 5:40 p.m. when the tailgate on the trailer came down and a lawn tractor fell into the road, according to the State Patrol.

Jason Davidson of Glenwood was riding a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle and struck the lawn tractor. He was thrown off the motorcycle.

Hoffman Ambulance, assisted by North Ambulance, transported Davidson to the Douglas County Hospital. He was later airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The State Patrol accident report listed Davidson in critical condition.
