An Elbow Lake man was injured Monday afternoon when his car was struck broadside while doing a U-turn on Highway 10 near Frazee.
David B. Wellnitz, 34, of Elbow Lake was transported by St. Mary’s EMS to St. Mary’s Innovis Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
His eastbound 1991 Ford Festiva was hit by an eastbound 2006 Subaru Tribeca driven by Eric R. Lundmark, 40, of Detroit Lakes, who suffered no apparent injuries in the crash.
The Ford was turning into an approach to make a U-turn when it was struck by the Subaru.
The accident was reported at about 3 p.m. on dry four-lane blacktop at mile marker 48.
The Frazee Police Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
