Anthony Miltich to perform in Evansville

The Evansville Arts Coalition will host a concert featuring Anthony Miltich on his guitar.

The Evansville Arts Coalition will host a concert featuring Anthony Miltich on his guitar.

The concert will take place Friday, June 4 from 7 to 8:45 p.m. at the Evansville Art Center.

This is a free-will offering event. Refreshments will be available during intermission.

Miltich has been singing and performing in the upper Midwest for more than 30 years.

He is a solo musician in the singer/songwriter tradition, with an evocative, powerful voice and dexterous, multi-faceted guitar playing.

Miltich has appeared live on Minnesota Public Radio’s morning show on several occasions and toured college campuses, coffeehouses and clubs throughout the region.

In April, Miltich released a new CD, Sound Mind, which fans have called, “A wonderful collection of music.”

Though Miltich is a songwriter in his own right, he has great facility with making the songs of others his own.

He said there is such a vast array of great material out there that he can’t resist the desire to absorb the power a song has over him and translate that to listeners through his own musical expression.

Music lovers who enjoy authentic instrumentation and clear melodic vocals with distinct and meaningful lyrics will find Sound Mind fits right into their groove.

Miltich has performed with legendary artists Jerry Jeff Walker and Michael Johnson, and recently headlined a concert at A Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls with songwriter David Stoddard.

The Evansville Art Coalition is supported in part by grants from the Lakes Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation.
