A ladies luncheon on Saturday, June 12 will provide a special occasion to get “all dressed up” and honor a classic tradition.

It will also launch a new program called Suitably Dressed to help women re-enter the workforce with clothing and accessories necessary to present a confident image.

The “Big Fancy Hat Day” ladies luncheon is open to women of all ages and youngsters are welcome. The event recognizes professional and social connections, celebrates inter-generational relationships and will showcase opportunities for personal enrichment.

Keynote speakers on the program will highlight “Professionalism Across the Generations.” They are Kellie Janssen of Glenwood State Bank in Alexandria, Linda Roles of The United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties, and Carol Wenner of Knute Nelson in Alexandria.

The event begins at noon at the Holiday Inn and includes a sit-down luncheon, prizes and give-aways and the program. Sign up and purchase tickets for $20 at Glenwood State Bank in Alexandria or by calling (320) 763-3742 weekdays or 763-7789 any time.

Organizations and services for women are invited to become sponsors of this event for a $25 fee, which includes exhibit space and a listing in the program. Space is limited.

Proceeds will help launch Suitably Dressed, a new service for the greater Alexandria area.

Participating partners in the ladies luncheon and Suitably Dressed are AmpSquared marketing group/Definitive Woman Magazine, Lakes Area Professional Women, Someplace Safe, and United Way. Other groups and organizations are cooperating in the planning and future of the program.
