Erickson, Anderson win state CI doubles title
The Cardinal duo defeated 84 other teams for the state crown
Alexandria’s Nicole Anderson and Torii Erickson totaled 932 pins to capture the Minnesota State Adapted Bowling CI Division Doubles championship this weekend as Alexandria brought home 12 top-20 finishes.
Anderson and Erickson topped a field of 85 teams in the tournament to bring home the gold.
“The Alexandria Cardinals had a fantastic day of bowling!” said Alexandria coach Carol Feldmann. “The 400 Club has lots of new members. Kaila Seidel [bowled] 444 and 414, Zach Long 436 and 430, Mitch VanAlphen 409, McKenzi Klimek 421, Dane Bellefeuille 427, Tayler Mayer 405, Jon Klein 455, Justin Hanson-Simmons 400 and 426, Scot Horman 440 and 428, Amanda Thoennes 416, Gideon Hartsell 420 and 465, Nicole Anderson 407 and 443, Michaela Ruter 458 and 428, Matt Froemming 416, Torii Erickson 489, Drew Winter 407, Jared Green 409, Kendra Holm 402, Mitch Schulz 402 and Derreck Sorenson 409.”
Erickson also had the high series for the tournament at 489.
Seidel also finished second in the CI Division single female bowlers division, which saw a total of 68 athletes competing. She rolled a total of 444 for the tournament.
