Wadena pedestrian hurt in Saturday accident

A Wadena woman was listed in critical condition after she was hit by a car while walking in the middle of U.S. Highway 10 just before 3 a.m. Saturday.
Tiffany J. Walker, 25, was taken to Tri-County Hospital and then airlifted to St. Cloud after she was hit by a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Justin Harwell, 19, of St. Paul, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The accident happened at mile post 93 in the westbound lane. Harwell and a passenger, 24-year-old Richard Rucker of St. Paul, were not hurt.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Department, Wadena Police Department and Tri-County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
