Viking Library System is pleased to announce the sponsorship of the following programs through its Cultural Heritage Legacy Program:
•Browns Valley Public Library and Wheaton Community Library: “CLIMB Theatre Rhymin’ Simon”
•Douglas County Public Library in Alexandria: “Bob Gasch, Storyteller”
•Thorson Memorial Public Library in Elbow Lake: “Street Musicians at the library,” “Author visit and writing workshop featuring Alison McGhee,” “I Am Underwater World,” and “CLIMB Theatre Featuring Anansi the Spider”
•Morris Public Library: “Underwater Adventures Aquarium ‘Make a Splash’ Library Program”
•New York Mills Arts Retreat and Regional Culture Center, with New York Mills Public Library and Perham Area Library: “Art In Your Park,” “The Next Generation of Thinkers,” and “Kite Festival”
These events will take place in May and June.
A second round of sponsorship opportunities is now available for arts, history and cultural programs taking place June 1 through August 31.
The Viking Library System member libraries in Browns Valley, Douglas County (Alexandria), Elbow Lake, Fergus Falls, Glenwood, Hancock, Morris, New York Mills, Pelican Rapids, Perham and Wheaton may apply for VLS sponsorship of one or more programs.
