The Elder Network recently completed a peer support training session, enrolling seven new volunteers to the program.

This service is designed for seniors 55 and older who would benefit from a visit from a volunteer. The goal is to meet the social needs of older adults in our communities within their own homes.

The peer visitor offers a willingness to listen in a non-judgmental manner, using compassion and genuine regard for the client’s individual situations.

Training sessions are offered twice a year and require 24 hours of training, spread out over four days. Call Elder Network at (320) 763-9084 if you are interested in joining this caring team of volunteers.
