Cardinal bowlers split

The Cardinal adapted bowling team won the CI division against Wayzata-Minnetonka to move to 6-2 on the season last Thursday.

Kaitlyn York and Gideon Hartsell bowled the high series at 414 and 413, respectively. Jared Greene (400), McKenzi Klimek (401), Zach Long (411) and Tayler Mayer (404) all joined them in the 400 club. Hartsell had the game high with a 145.

The Cardinals won 10 of the 11 head-to-head competitions in the CI singles division. They also took three out of the four doubles competition, with their only loss coming by just one pin.

Anoka-Hennepin

The Cardinal adapted bowling team dropped just its second meet of the season as Anoka-Hennepin earned a win over Alexandria last week.

Zach Long, Jon Klein, Mitch Schulz, Jared Greene, Patrick Takeda and Mitch VanAlphen all earned individual wins in the CI singles division. Torii Erickson and Scott Horman both tied their opponents.

Erickson finished with the high game of the meet at 165. High series belonged to Zach Long with a 442.

The Cardinals fell to 5-2 overall with the loss.
