The Alexandria Beetles' medallion hunt, worth $1,000 cash to the lucky winner, began today, Monday, at 9 a.m. at Ace Hardware in Alexandria with the release of the first clue. That clue will be available through Sunday, May 9.
The medallion is 6" in diameter and about an inch thick, and has the Alexandria Beetles' 10th anniversary logo engraved on it.
The medallion will be outdoors and no digging will be required to find it. It also will not be found at Knute Nelson Memorial Park.
The remaining clues will be released as follows:
No. 2 - Elden's Food Fair, May 10-16
No. 3 - Diekman's Jewelry, May 17-23
No. 4 - State Bank and Trust, May 24-30
