Gary Mattson to perform at Evansville Art Center
The Evansville Arts Coalition will host a concert at the Evansville Art Center on May 7.
The Evansville Arts Coalition will host a concert at the Evansville Art Center on May 7.
The Friday night show, which will run from 7 to 8:45 p.m., will feature area musician Gary Mattson.
Mattson’s style of music is an interesting mix of folk, country and gospel.
He began singing and playing guitar about 30 years ago in the Twin Cities area. He sang for weddings, churches, youth gatherings, talent contests and open mic events.
His mellow style lends itself to music for a variety of ages.
Mattson’s daughter, Rachel, will be joining him on some of the songs. Rachel Mattson has appeared in several local theater productions, including musicals.
The concert will be a free-will offering event.
The Evansville Arts Coalition is supported in part by grants from the Lakes Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation.
