YMCA makes progress on fundraising goal
The Alexandria Area YMCA’s “Complete the Dream” capital campaign has surpassed the $8,526,000 mark and leaders are confident they will raise the remaining $359,000 necessary to reach the campaign goal of $8,885,000.
The Alexandria Area YMCA’s “Complete the Dream” capital campaign has surpassed the $8,526,000 mark and leaders are confident they will raise the remaining $359,000 necessary to reach the campaign goal of $8,885,000.
To date, 838 individuals, businesses and foundations have supported the YMCA with pledged gifts to the campaign.
The Alexandria Area YMCA broke ground on the proposed 56,000 square foot program center on April 14, 2009 and is eagerly anticipating opening the doors to the Maynard “Bud,” Sylvia, Diana, Neil and Bruce Peterson Program Center on June 1, 2010.
The Alexandria Area YMCA welcomes community members to consider a gift to the campaign to raise the remaining funds. All gifts are appreciated, however, gifts of $1,000 or greater will earn a spot on the Alexandria Area YMCA Donor Wall. Gifts can be pledged over a five-year period or as one-time gifts.
