Letter - Did President Obama lie?
President Obama promised us that if his health care reform bill was passed, no one making under $250,000 per year would pay “one single dime in additional taxes.”
To the editor:
President Obama promised us that if his health care reform bill was passed, no one making under $250,000 per year would pay “one single dime in additional taxes.” The bill and its amendments that was passed by Congress March 25 mandates that all tanning salons in the United States will have to pay a 10 percent tax effective July 1, 2010.
This leads me to one of two conclusions: either the tanning business is much more lucrative than I thought, or President Obama lied.
