A stellar senior season on the court paid off for Alexandria’s Gracie Bruzek recently.
The Cardinals’ 5’4” point guard signed a letter of intent last week to play for head coach Mike Roysland and the University of Minnesota-Crookston girls’ basketball team.
Bruzek led the state in assists this season with 172 while leading the fast-paced Cardinal offense. She was named an honorable mention all-state performer during her senior season and is a three time all-conference player and two time Playmaker of the Year Award winner.
“Gracie is a high energy point guard that sees the floor very well,” Roysland said in a statement. “She is a true team player that gets after it on both ends of the court. The enthusiasm that she brings will become contagious to her teammates, as well.”
Bruzek is the daughter of Bud and Trish Bruzek of Alexandria.
