ASSE International Student Exchange Program is looking for families to host high school foreign exchange students for the 2010-2011 school year.

ASSE International Student Exchange Program is looking for families to host high school foreign exchange students for the 2010-2011 school year.

ASSE students are from all over the world, including Germany, France, Russia, Japan, China, Scandinavian countries and more. The sending country screens the students, most of whom are fluent in English.

The host family is able to select the student from a list of available students. The students have guidelines that they must follow and they have medical insurance and their own spending money.

The host family must supply a bed, food, some transportation and an understanding of teenagers. The family receives ongoing support from ASSE. The exchange student is expected to become an active participant in the host family, learning about life in the U.S.

For information, contact local ASSE coordinator, Rich Barkalow, at (320) 250-4867 or 1-800-736-2773.
