The Todd County Sheriff's Office responded to two separate crashes over the weekend that caused injuries.
The first accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Brick Yard Road and Todd County Road 15 in West Birchdale Township near Sauk Centre. A vehicle driven by Abby Holmquist of Mantorville was traveling north on County Road 15 when it went into the traffic lane designated for oncoming traffic, according to the sheriff's office.
A second vehicle driven by Amber Johnson of Sauk Centre, who was southbound in her own lane, attempted to swerve to avoid hitting the oncoming vehicle but the vehicles collided head-on.
A passenger in Holmquist's vehicle, Derek Bienusa, suffered serious injuries. A passenger in Johnson's vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Both passengers and both drivers were transported to St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre. Bienusa was later airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital.
After being treated for her injuries, Holmquist was transported to the Todd County Detention Center. She is expected to be charged with criminal vehicular operation and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the sheriff's office.
Assisting the sheriff's office were the Minnesota State Patrol, Sauk Centre Fire/Rescue and Ambulance Service, along with the Sauk Centre Police Department.
