Alexandria Rotarians JoEllen Doebbert of Doebbert Law Offices and Todd Emmons of Innovative Builders, Inc. have been honored by Rotary International as Paul Harris Fellows.
Paul Harris Fellowships are awarded to individuals who have contributed $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. Among the foundation’s core efforts are eradicating polio, funding projects to alleviate hunger and improve human development, and supporting educational, service and humanitarian endeavors worldwide.
Rotary International, founded in 1905, is the world’s original professional service organization. It currently has 1.2 million members in more than 32,000 clubs worldwide. The mission of Rotary is to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
The Alexandria club, which meets every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at Broadway Ballroom, currently has 79 members.
