Bethany fundraiser recaptures Titanic's voyage

Bethany Community in Alexandria is proud to present “Titanic, A Night to Remember,” a fundraising event for the residents.
The event will take place Saturday, April 17 at Bethany. Social hour is set for 5:30 p.m. with seating for dinner to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Guests are invited to experience the Titanic’s final evening of its maiden voyage. This historic evening will include a seven-course dinner as served in the first-class dining room with music, facts and dramatic portrayals.
Apparel of the early 1900s or formal attire is encouraged.

Here is a look at the dinner menu:
•First course: Canapés a L’Amiral and white wine.
•Second course: Consommé Olga.
•Third course: Poached salmon with mousseline sauce.
•Fourth course: Chicken lyonnaise.
•Fifth course: Roast sirloin of beef forestiére, Chateau potatoes, creamed carrots and red wine.
•Sixth course: Punch romaine.
•Seventh course: Asparagus salad with champagne-saffron dressing.
Dessert choices: Chocolate painted éclairs with French vanilla ice cream; French vanilla ice cream; or Waldorf pudding. Coffee will also be served.
